21st Century skills are today's students need to succeed in their careers during the Information Age. Here are how students will use 21st Century skills in this project.
1. Digital, Information literacy:
Carry out research and understand key facts related to the topic of kitchen waste; Understand figures related to kitchen waste and the possible implications; Understand figures involved in estimating materials used in creating soap.
2. Collaboration:
Working in groups to complete tasks; Working with members of the community to explore topics in greater detail.
3. Communication:
Exploring a problem in a group, sharing experiences from daily life and offering solutions; Formal communication skills through presentations and showcases; Communication with external groups from the community.
4. Critical thinking:
Making connections between their own personal waste, and that of the wider community; Being able to reflect on research findings; Develop engaging interview questions in order to retrieve useful information.
